Your benefits will be numerous. CycleZone is all about power-training which has significant benefits over ‘heart-rate’ training or ‘perceived exertion’ training (Spinning). Training with power (measured in watts) puts you into your precise training intensity zones, maximising your gains which will be evidenced through our software generated reports.  At CycleZone we use real bikes giving you the correct riding position for your indoor training, minimising your risk of injury.The software controls your bike in accordance with proven training protocols and at your fitness level. No levers to pull or knobs to turn, we are in the 21st century!

Functional Threshold Power (FTP) is the power you can sustain during a 60 minute ride, and one of the main determinants of cycling performance. The FTP is the first step to your training at CycleZone. It is a performance test, which allows us to determine accurate power training zones and benchmark your current fitness. It is a 20 minute maximal effort ride in our performance lab and includes a body composition assessment.

No, we can set you up to one of our fully adjustable studio bikes. And for all subsequent sessions the studio bike will be set up and ready for you once you have booked your session online. Of course, you are welcome to bring your own bike with bike storage options available.

All CycleZone sessions are controlled via software targeting each individual’s fitness level, so we cater for all fitness levels.  So if you haven’t exercised for a long time, there is no time like the present to get in the zone and start achieving your fitness goals. The big screen ride visuals and floor staff are there to motivate, the stats and reporting you get is the evidence you need that you are indeed getting fitter.

We love to ride our bikes outdoors too. Cycling, as with any sport, requires training to improve performance or to achieve goals. Many of our sessions involve high intensity interval training (HIIT) and the advantages are numerous when compared to simply heading out and riding your bike. Train Safe. Train Smart. Then ride hard outdoors is what we say!

Yes the jargon can be intimidating at first, particularly if you are new to cycling, so we do encourage you to come in for the initial FTP assessment so that our sport scientist can help understand your goals and getting you going with awesome structure training.

You don’t! We offer pay-per-session and multi ride pack options. Therefore you only pay for what you use and this gives you the flexibililty to train around your schedule, not ours!

Cycling kit or comfortable workout clothes, sweat towel, water bottle, SPD cycle shoes (if you don’t have a pair we can loan you some). Change rooms and showers are available, please bring your own towel.
